Feel free to write a fan fic, even if it does have elements similar to an existing story. Providing you aren't directly ripping off something/someone else, then I can't see any hassle. Besides, if it is largely based on your own experiences, then it is unlikely to be the same as anyone else's as we are all different! :-)

I need to put time aside and finish a few Skunkworks fan fics I've been writing for aeons, but I'll do an OT post (for those who may be interested) explaining what has been going on down here recently. :-/

From what I've read from the fan fics (being about 94% of them), I
haven't come across anything about the girls going to Cali. However, if
there is, I'm pretty sure it's OK... since people often go to states
more than once. Personally, I've been to Cali a few times... and I
ended up doing the same things every time...
