Do they wear their costumes and speak the language everyday as some furries wear their ears and tails or do they keep it within small groups and ceremomies like weddings? Star Trek and Star Wars fans may have their extremeists but not the notiriaty that furries have. Yeah I'm a trek fan but not to the degree that other folks do. (I'm in stealth mode :D)

Then she best stay away from Star Trek and Star Wars
conventions/ fans.
Some fans get married dressed up as Klingons speaking
Klingonese no less.(It's an actual language now. Sorry,
no Vulcanian as far as I know.)
Some, I believe, live as "Klingons" all year around.
Now that's taking a genre to the nth degree!
