Unfortunately, I doubt if another version of the fandom could ever be created without eventually succumbing to the same forces and events which have led to it's current state. But I feel quite strongly that this genre could be much more than it is at this time. Whether that means branching off in another direction, or attempting to merge it into something else, I cannot say.
The comics I'm speaking of would be printed. I've written them in a way that would allow either one volume collecting each 84-page story, or three smaller issues released over the course of a year (for each story arc). I'm waiting to get specs regarding page proportions so I can actually start the full-sized roughs (and eventually, the finals). As work progresses on them, I will post pictures on the group, but I won't post the entire comic here. I'm still old-fashioned and fully believe comics are best enjoyed in a convenient dead-tree format. ;)
