Some find change hard to accept, others embrace it, but chance it will. As for species dysphoria, that is not too common from what I've noticed. Therians (those who have a spiritual connection to their totem animal, not too unlike many native American beliefs) on the other paw are quite common. To be honest, when I look around and see all the ills of humanity, I am ashamed to be a part of it. As my favorite darkwave band says, "the human animal is a beautiful and terrible creature, capable of limitless compassion and un fathomable cruelty". As for conventions, I don't go to buy art, I don't go to get laid, I go for the social aspect of it. I go to hang out and meet people. I go because in short, it's fun. Furry has evolved beyond a niche group and in essence turned into a microcosm of society. I admit I'm one of those collar wearing oddballs, but I also exercise discretion on when & where I wear my collar.

Pfff. Collars don't faze me, man. If you like 'em, wear 'em I guess. I certainly can't single out someone because they dress in their own way (man, you should've seen how _I_ dressed back in high school!)
