Ah! I gotcha you Jim.
Some times when I think about it, my brain hurts.
I think the problem is well, people. the fandom is a wonderful thing in many ways, people can try and use all the fancy Freudian nit picking there is, but in the end I really think it boils down to one thing.
The Fandom lets people go wild, it lets them live out in a way their most darkest kinks and fantasy's with no danger of being caught .. I truly think it's a question with no real solid answer..
But what do I know! I'm just a truck driver from Texas :P

Thanks, though I'm not necessarily looking for "agreement" per se. I'm looking to understand why there are events grouped together with the furry fandom which, in reality, have nothing to do with anthropomorphism. The whole train jumped the track somewhere, and I'm trying to get a better understanding of it.

I still draw anthropomorphic artwork, even though I mostly drawing "regular" art these days. I wouldn't draw it if I didn't enjoy it, man. I just think it can be better than it currently is. I'd much rather push forward to branch into new realms of the genre than stay idle and grow moss. Quality is the key factor, I think, in both art and story-telling. I hope to be able to provide on both counts.

And I watched the fandom slowly turn in to a freak filled monster. i often wonder if some body sent all the 800lb shut in's living with the mummfied body of their mothers a flyer saying "Hey! come in and wear your rubber wolf suit and Yiff a underaged stuffed animle" trust me i've seen it x_x
