Actually, I think there was a thread about this a few years back. The best that could be done was finding and/or comparing voices of a similar nature. I'll see if I can dig that thread up.

I dunno about accents; Val is from Vermont and the girls are from Florida (if I remember correctly). I know a few folks from Vermont, and they don't seem to have any noticeable accent. And let's face it, Florida is a melting pot of cultures; there's no discernable accent from there I can think of (though some people from the northern end and out west have a southern twang).

There are different characters with accents on the roster, though. Most of "Caterwaul" is from all over the globe. Tiffany (the fox) is from Tennessee, Tamara (the cat with braids) is from Chicago, Dinah (the badger) is from some town I can't recall in England, Veronika (the vampire bat) is from Romania, D'sanna (the panther) is from South Africa, Marie (the raccoon) is from France, Denise (the skunk) is from New York, Ricardo (the raccoon) is from Miami, Florida, Monique (the fruit bat) is from some French island I can't remember the name of right now, etcetera. Even characters not from the girls' world have accents (Onika, Koth and Shek-ti have noticeable Arabic-sounding accents, for example). The difficulty comes in trying to write those accents into their speech, especially when the reader only has a word balloon on a sheet of paper as reference. ;)
