Several of the L6 members have similar source origins. There were 46 test subjects, and 9 lots total. Lot 6 had six members, while the others had 5 each. Every test subject from Lot 6 had offspring who exhibited unusual abilities, while only a few of the other lots had results.
Denise (the skunk), Monique (the fruit bat), Rahne (the fox) and Sheryl (the lizard) had one parent who received injections of Solution "C". However, each test subject receiving that solution actually got an altered version (no subject was given the same exact solution). So, in this example, one subject would've gotten, say, Solution C1, while another would've gotten C2, and so on. Each altered solution had minor differences, but these differences became more apparent once their kids started exhibiting their abilities. This is why some characters, like Rahne and Monique, have somewhat similar appearances, even though their abilities are very different.
Jeremy is the only known individual who has abilities caused by Solution A. Dean (the doberman, don't know if I've ever posted him here or not) received Solution B. Sylvia (the cat) is the only member who had BOTH parents involved in the test program. One parent received Solution A, while the other received Solution B. Both Jennica (the squirrel) and Ricardo (the raccoon) have a parent who received Solution D. And Cindy (the cheetah) is the only one who got any results from Solution E.
Now you know. And knowing is half the battle. GI Joe!
--JMH, who actually hated that cartoon when he was a kid because, despite all the gunfire and explosions, NO ONE EVER DIED. Why bother blowing shit up if it's not going to change anything?
