> OK what were the Plots of Caterwaul Incorporated
The original books were extremely shortened and left out a LOT of details. This was due to the fact they were originally drawn to appear in AP's Genus comic (hence, the various nudity or sex bits throughout the first two issues). Here's a quick rundown of the first 4 comics (number five was never published):
Issues 1 and 2 dealt with the crew going off-planet to capture a fleeing criminal. Cops from Earth couldn't get him because he was out of their jurisdiction, and the cops of the Mars colonies wouldn't go after him because he hadn't committed any crimes on Mars. So caterwaul was hired to capture the guy.
The entire crew goes undercover, and one (Marie) ends up getting picked up by the felon. She assists in giving the layout of his property (I don't think this was shown in the early issues, though) and the rest of the crew eventually break into his place and apprehend him. Marie gets shot up in the process. The Mars authorities learn the felon had been running an illegal harem/slavery ring, as well as trafficking guns. In any case, he gets brought back to the Earth authorities to face the charges.
Issue 3 was sort of a "flashback" issue, giving some info on Leila, Dinah and Veronika. It also ties up the remaining pieces of issue 2. Issue 3 introduces the Lot Siz characters.
Issue 4 basically tells the same story from two different viewpoints. Caterwaul is contacted by a somewhat shady agency who claims their property was destroyed by a group of youths and they request their capture. Their story doesn't add up, and Crystal has it checked out. They eventually head after the kids and manage to intercept them in a Florida mall.
The second part of the book shows the Lot Siz kids excaping from the agency after trashing their base, and fleeing for safe ground. They end up meeting up with Caterwaul right before Ricardo's powers kick in and he blows a good portion of the parking lot into debris.
Issue 5 (unpublished) had a huge firefight between Caterwaul and the aforementioned agency. This story also introduced several of the other kids who would eventually join up with Lot Six. The book was not published, as there were too many unanswered questions resulting from the truncated stories of the previous stories.
That's why I'm writing do much information about the character's world, and explaing their social structures, economies, and everything else. Their world does not abide by the same rules that our world does, and it's important to explain this beforehand.
I will likely upload a sample page from the new Caterwaul story within the next day or two for a comparison.
