Though according to Snopes (not infallible, mind) that when the studies were done scientifically (someone else did the measuring), it turns out there was no correlation. "Self Reporting" suggested there was 'some' correlation, but accurate measurement and methodology has shown otherwise.
And if that were so, would that include muzzle length in measurement of the nose? Afghan Hounds would be on the longer end of the canines, and you can just speculate about what crocs would have (length AND width!).
