Actually, when I remade the BTT site several years ago, I tried to think of a redirect site which would REALLY squick those individuals who thought anthropomorphic smut was "horrendous". And what better place than Rotten.com?
I have relatives who are police officers and forensic specialists, so it's possible such morbid curiosity runs in the family, so to say. I'm not grossed out by such unusual images; I rather find them interesting (in the sense of "I wonder what happened to make that person's skull grow that way?", or "So THAT'S how the different body systems look in a cut-away!" (I recently saw a few photos of a girl killed by a boat prop, and while it was a little gross, I was more interested in the layering of the various body components, visible through the gashes)). Such information can prove useful if you happen to be drawing a scene where someone gets eviscerated. I like to be accurate, you know.
As for the mix-up with the dates (earlier post), most of my spelling errors have been stemming from my lack of depth perception. The faster I type, the less time I spend looking at where my hands are going on the keyboard (I have to look at the keyboard when I type, and with only one eye, that can be a little tricky). I hate making typos, though.
