Here's one thing to learn:
My mother's neighbors have several cats, all male, and years ago, one then-kitten was chasing one of the older cats around the dining room table. Then the eldest cast, already old and having difficulty moving, got up, went over to them, got between the two cats, and snarled at the kitten. The kitten stopped chasing the other cat after that. :)
