Careful, guys. I like these topics as well, but we don't want another thread (which rapidly turned ugly) like the last discussion on weaps. I, for one, do not wish the wrath of Scrapper on my head! ;p
There is no such thing as a dream that you cannot obtain.
You may have to work for it, however.

Er, a gauss rifle will definitely produce a report. If the projectile is supersonic, it’ll produce a sonic boom. And, it WILL produce a heat signature, as the projectile will still produce friction. Of course, if you want to detect gauss firing, a magnetometer would work just fine, to detect the huge electrical discharge that accompanies firing.

Mmmmmm, gauss rifles. *drool* That would be so perfect for a sniper. No report, no muzzle flash to give away your position, next to no recoil. Not even a heat signature from a hot barrel to give it away. I want one!

I practice at the range, maintain the weapons, and practice responsible ownership. But I couldn't tell you anything about a gun by looking at it. Now, bikes, on the other hand...

They carry both standard weapons (which fire bullets) and military specialty weapons (laser and/or grenade weapons), so obviously, a vast majority of this shit is gonna be made up. The specs would list stuff like weight, length, ammunition, range, accessories, etcetera. Nothing too in-depth.
