Thanks! I use photo references only when I'm drawing something like a family portrait, or a detail of someone's car (I don't know all the details and measurements of every old car; photos make the job easier). Generally, I use them for my mainstream commission work, since "drawing from the mind" won't work if you have to draw someone's family and make them recognizable.

One of the selling points of my regular art is that I don't use photos as reference material. Many of the pictures have unusual perspectives or angles. A lot of other artists use photos as their source, which is fine, but I prefer to pull the image from my mind. It may sound odd, but my "mind's eye" can give me a far better picture than my physical eye.
