Well, in a mix of personal experience and the problems my boxer has, being nude in a world where just the scent of a woman in heat is a turn on would near-REQUIRE at least some form of clothing to cover genital areas. I will be the first to admit that I get turned on pretty easily and without clothing it would be very easy to spot so. As for my boxer, he's just a perv and gets a hard-on just for being stroked by the ears :P

Perfumes and colognes might be made to enhance scents to convey the mood their in.

It might depend slightly upon the animal. Some dogs, even "short-haired" ones will gain a thicker coat during cold weather. It wouldn't be as dramatic or intense as in some seasonal-transition al animals, but a benefit nonetheless.
And of course, there would always be times where some form of clothing would be needed. Hip-waders, extreme cold/hot weather gear, etc. But clothing for everyday moving around, like what we have, would be mostly ornamental. Clothing would be an accessory, not a necessity.
In that vein, Furries as nudists wouldn't be so unexpected or unusual. Although I could understand the desire to cover privates if they inherited any of our values on modesty.
Although now that I think about it, scent would be more of a turn-on to a Fur then even the sight of a female's 'fortune-cookie' . So perfumes and colognes
might take up that role.
Just brainstorming.
D.O.P.R
so basically they would go either nude or pant-less wearing just a shirt.
i imagine if your fur could cover your privates and nipples well, then there would really be no need for clothing, or the furries of the future would all be nudists. either way is good with me.
i know that for some dogs, they really don't have the fur for cold weather and would need some sort of doggy coat to stay warm outside in the bone chilling temperatures of new england in the winter. so, i imagine that some short furred furries would need a coat if they went outside during the winter.
