Very nice sketch. But the scan doesn't show the detail in it
too well. James drew some nice long slender whiskers on
Val which is hard to view. The sexy pose around her shorts
is also reduced by the scan; the detail is there but hard to
view as well. (Contrast is gone. I think James was trying to
show that the shorts were riding into her pussy and the
gray-blue color high-light was to bring out the pussy lips for
a 3D effect.)
To view the line work print the sketch out in a black and white
mode - you should see the long whiskers. There is a lot going
on in the way of line work. I encourage anyone interested in
drawing to cycle the sketch through a paint program like PhotoShop, or
Paint Shop Pro, and experiment in viewing the line work using the
different color (Brightness, Hue, Gamma, etc)
and Edge image functions. You will find some interesting results. Study
the line work. Some might like the results better than the original
sketch. (Do a grey-scale and negative image to start with.)
I would like to see the original sketch.
Not bad for 3+ hours work on a test inking sketch.
(3 hours straight? That's one cramped hand. ;O)
