Greetings Skunkworks Fans;
TL;DR - I'm back, lots of people been uploading, please keep on topic and write so it is easy to read. :-)
Good to see lots of people getting up to all sorts of things on-group. Here's that post I promised a few weeks ago!
Cat Romanova, Miguel and JMH (did I miss anyone) been uploading pictures (yes, I was very behind in posts!).
Cat - good to see you're still drawing Val - I should get-to and ink a couple of those pictures - give my hand and interpretting skills a workout! It's good to encounter a sketch that makes you _want_ to go and do some art!
Miguel - Good to see you're getting a project together. I'd advocate writing a story plan in text first, then do the story boards. Would suggest saving up the story boards and posting in a set, so people can read through enough to get a taste of the story - a full paragraph if you like. 'Single Pages' for story boarding is a bit like posting fan-fiction the same way - hard to keep people's excitement level, as the story feels too broken. May help to increase contrast to make viewing easier.
JMH - You've obviously got a passion for this new inking/drawing style of yours, for despite being frequently pressed for time, you seem to find a few minutes (hours???) to do another picture. Let's face it, you will always find time for the thing you really want to do. :-)
With Penance in her 'normal' form, she seems a bit saggy in the breast department - bit more perky would be sexier? Big doesn't necessarily mean saggy; besides, she's a supernatural creature - if they can't have 'good frontal form', then who could???
Good expressions on faces - shows a good understanding of drawing 'people' - very hard to get right! Having a photographic memory would explain why you don't use many references - you need to have a picture to work from somewhere; in your head, in your case. For everyone else, look up a reference! You may realise you don't know the subject anywhere near as well as you may need to!
Lots of posted topics - good to see some feedback to some uploads. Even if people post something you may not like, give them a bit of feedback, particularly if it is constructive and helpful - give them a suggestion of how you think they can make their work better! You could even give them a hint which could result in them doing something you love next time!
Please remember the only thing we know about you, the only credibility you have, is from what you write and post. If you write well and consider what you say, people may believe you have at least half a brain. It is an adult group; too much to ask to behave like adults? I know many have English as a second language (it isn't an easy language either!), I'm not picking on you so much as people who are too lazy to try and write clearly. To paraphrase Ch'marr- "If you can't be bothered re-reading before hitting send, why should we be bothered to read it before hitting delete?"
It is generally considered poor form to cross-post; that is send a generic message to more than one group. The group is supposed to be a community you can interact with, not just 'shout out' with some off-topic comment. Ask yourself if anyone else really wants to know before posting. Sure, ask questions, but please try to keep on-topic.
