Is this an issue I missed? I recall the main characters (Omaha and her
friend) getting into some LESBIAN action, but I don't recall any main
characters suddenly turning gay.

I'm referring to the fact that in "Omaha the Cat Dancer", suddenly the main
characters get into homosexuality, even though they previously showed no
such inclinations. In the comic itself, the authors admitted they wanted to
please their gay followers, so the homosexual parts were suddenly tacked on
to appeal to them. In other words, "Omaha" jumped the shark by sacrificing
realism to appeal to a new sector of the audience. (Yes, it is possible for
someone to discover homosexual inclinations late in life, but to have a
whole bunch of people who know each other do it is clearly ridiculous.)

BTW, I did write a story for this site, "Naughty New Year's", which might
appeal to Joseph Howard's desire, but I made it a point not to allow
everyone to act too much out of character (e. g. Val only "participates"
because she's unconscious.)

Long Tom.
