Well, they do tend to be easier to spot in fiction. It's not like you have a
highly mobile, undetectable, viewpoint that can sometimes even read minds.

Somehow I think that the correct version of the later sentence is:
"The vast majority of those I have met and known were homosexual were online,
and they're scattered all over."
You probably meet homosexuals all the time without realizing it, it's not like
they wear badges[1].
