Grouply is indeed a social networking site. It's my understanding that once
you join Grouply, they automatically send out invites to anyone in your
email address book, so this person might not even know you're getting
messages.

Personally, I'm not a fan of social networking beyond FA and regular
email/IM, and I don't know anyone who actually uses Grouply, so my info
might not be correct.
