The picture of the trio, Val, Des and Celeste as humans was drawn just for fun. I tried inking them in a comic-book style instead of a more realistic pencil technique just to see how they'd look. There's no story behind it, per se; it was just a picture I was having fun with.
On a related note, I drew similar versions of both Caterwaul and Lot Six, but I don't know if I still have them.
There were 2 other images from the "Onika Measurements" topic, and I _think_ at least one of them is supposed to be in the Onika portfolio. Cleaned-up versions of the sketches were never completed, so they were never posted.
