Ah...I see what happened. The clock hand pointing
just above the 9 is smaller than the clock hand pointing
at the 5 for a reading of 9:25 - with daylight in Panel
1, morning is indicated.

I focused on the movement of the "hour" hand
pointing directly at the 9 in Panel 2 for a :45 minute
mark which then moved to the :47 minute mark
in Panel 6 as Manila walked down the stairs, across
the floor to the table while the "minute" hand
remained on the 5 mark indicating two minutes
had passed making 4:47. With daylight in Panel 1,
late-afternoon was indicated.
[I stopped focusing on the clock when I thought
I had the time.]

It's the only clock I know which has the hour hand
indicate the passage of minutes - which means I was
right about Penance; she is in the house starting to
haunt it. [Say, that might make a good side story
line...hmmmm. And yeah...I was thinking that Penance
would hide under the staircase in her little bear form.
I must have missed a post where she could be in her
6 foot demon form while on earth - horns and all.]

Btw - did you use a magnfying device to draw Panel 1?
The chain linked fence is really nicely done. The upper
house corner gutter drain pipe is a nice detail touch too.
[Someone likes to draw buildings and fences.]

It never hurts to keep other drawing style skills alive -
you can get into a rut with just one. Having two or more
styles also forces one to keep better focus as one draws,
otherwise the styles will blend together - (your eraser is
your friend.). That usually means its time for a break and
find something else to do until you've recharged. CnC is
perfect for practicing the old style.

What kind of style is the childrens book shooting for?
11 X 17 media? Color?
