Did I say that the fanboy would necessarily be the one selling the info?
To increase the clarity of what I said: I was speaking of how valuable the
fanboy's information is.
Even if the fanboy were inclined to sell it to the bad guys, there is every
possibility that he also knows which villain will take and honour a deal.
Something along the lines of "I give you the info you really want, in
exchange you protect me and act as a broker while we sell the rest of it."
Of course, a smart fanboy will also know which of the good guys will be...
inclined to largess... should they be told about ongoing plots or the right
villainous secrets.
