Certainly a very 'dark' cartoon, in any sense! Don't want to speculate what bee got into your bonnet in regard to paedophiles, but let's face it, it's an illness that shouldn't just be 'tolerated'.

The comic was actually several weeks ago, but it took me awhile to get the time to ink it. As for the pedophilia part, well, I hate any and all crimes. Theft, murder, kidnapping, rape, you name it. And personally, I think folks who partake in crimes that affect another individual (in such a way as to scar them for life) should simply be eliminated. Rehab is not a reliable option. A lot of my "serious" comic work reflects this, as Caterwaul is rather brutal and efficient at dealing out justice (or seeing that said justice is dealt).

The cartoon is shaping up that it is going to end really, really badly for Molly. Bit like the scene from the movie Ghost Ship (or Event Horizon) where the minor protagonist falls down a shaft to be skewered by long, sharp stakes. They've been seriously messed up, they're still alive and it's going to be a painful, slow end.

Caterwaul is actually drawn quite differently. The artwork is colored first, then the details are added. There is very little, if any, inked linework present. The Dead Bitch comic, however, is mostly B&W, and I figured the grim starkness of the story could also be reflected in the way it was drawn (hence, the coarse lines and rough textures).

I do think, however, that most folks will enjoy the ending. Mostly because it's not going to end how one would think it might.

I'm still watching and moderating, so don't think standards are going to drop around here! Great to see the amount of stuff coming out at the moment with Cats 'n Cameras (that's going nicely - I look forward to each new episode) and the Dead Bitch cartoon.

Did you ever get to putting the picture of Penance onto the Nighthawk? Fixing up my own ride the other day reminded me; I still haven't put any artwork on my bike... :-(

Haven't had much time for bike projects, as I've got my plate pretty full with art tasks at the moment. Hopefully, once Spring rolls around, I'll be able to get back to working in the garage.

Yeah, I got the Nighthawk painted, but due to a paint fuck-up, I will have to strip and repaint it again (I received the artwork 24 hours before I had to be on the road heading towards Mississippi. So I had to cut, mask and apply the artwork to the body panels, clear coat the bike with 5-6 coats of clear urethane, then reassemble it and get it ready to ride in about 12 hours time. Since the clear coat didn't have time to properly cure, it was severely damaged by gasoline when the tank was filled on numerous occasions). Putting the bike together wasn't that big a deal; I can strip a bike down to the frame in 20-30 minutes.

Oh, I always check in several times a week to make sure there's nothing gone astray. I don't always post, but I do make sure everything is fine.
