Or like I used to say when I was doing full-time server management.
"If it is important, ring me. If it isn't, email me. If you can't figure out if it is important or not, I don't want to hear about it!"
And if I am on the phone helping someone, I can't 'text chat' with you at the same time, so see above rule... If I was 'waiting' for someone, then I could read my mail, couldn't I?
My favorite - "I rang your mobile (cell phone) because your desk phone was engaged..." Really? And why exactly _would_ my desk phone be engaged? Something to do with me talking to someone else???
But to the point - if JMH is friends with you, you'll have his phone number and you can call him. Most of the rest of us can figure out his email address and write him off group if we feel inclined. And the group does get read when he gets time and he is generally very good with answering questions when he gets time. Why complicate a simple (and successfull) system?

Well you have people that want to communicate with you other than here.

Yes. However, my Facebook page is completely empty and has no photos or anything on it. I don't even use Facebook anymore; I only made an account there to connect with a few old high school buddies after a mutual friend had died.
