I don't even use it to talk with old friends from high school, actually. I only got an account there when an old friend of mine died, and talked to a few of the guys that knew him as well (back then, I played keyboard and sometimes the drums with this group of guys. The fellow who died was the bass player).

Occasionally I get notices sent to my old Yahoo account (this one) which I rarely use anymore. If I decide to reply to the FB alerts, I usually tell the person who wrote me that he/she would have better luck catching me through e-mail, as I just don't have the time or the interest in Facebook. It's a nifty little site, I'll admit, but it serves no purpose for me.

I'm notoriously bad at correspondence anyway. Heck, I'm doing pretty good if I get online 2-3 hours a week!

I personally wouldn't bother with FB myself. Yeah, I have friends there, but it's all hype and really no reason for myself to use it as I see. It's all a matter of personal reasons for whoever does or doesn't use it.
