"Free speech" *also* means that people are free to express their
disapproval of something which annoys them, offends them, or even simply
isn't to their tastes. What's good for the goose, etc...
Besides which: hospitals and such are not, as far as I'm aware, named
after *patients*. For the institution to be named after Palin & Beck, that
would suggest that they've either (A) accomplished something of noteworthy
status that's made them popular or influential enough with the general
public to have people commemorating their accomplishments by naming things
after them; (B) gotten elected to public office and stayed there long
enough that they have the political stature and clout to stamp their name
on every public-works project in sight; or (C) made some *very* large
charitable donations to the facility to get it built or keep it running.
So, if anything, it should be the Palin & Beck haters who should be
taking offense at this strip. :D
(And that's all I have to say about that.)
