Also as JMH pointed out, the comics with humans were situational parodies, which don't really fit into the story lines. Done 'just for laughs' (and darn good ones at that!)

You mean artists have lives outside the fandom?!? Heaven forbid! Or am I confusing that with fanboys? ;-p
