 Awesome!
So, now, when I finally break the laws of physics and enter a reality that IS By the Tail, I can screw anyone & everyone and not worry about offspring! Sweet!! ;)

Good call on that, Scrapper. As stated previously, the human species went extinct a loooong time ago on the Caterwaul/Skunkworks world. And in that world, there is no such thing as cross-breeding. Only similar species can reproduce. I've never been a fan of that "my character is part dragon, part walrus, part kangaroo, part eagle, and part demon" shtick. So, yeah, as a result, there's no such option in the trio's universe.

As for "By the Tail", the original version of the comic had humans and animals in it, except the animals had their civilization tucked away from the realm of mankind. Once Des took the strip over, all the humans were omitted from the comic. I don't think there are any humans in that world now, as a result of this change.

But even if, by some horrible glitch of magic, a human was to appear in their world, he or she could not impregnate/become pregnant by any of the other creatures there, Trixie included. Again, no such thing as cross-breeding. The genetics are just too varied.

If it is anything like our universe, the definition of a species is whether it can breed with another of the species - if it can't then they are not the same species... And since the creatures are fairly diverse, even if physically compatible, I'm suspecting 'half breeds' may be very much the exception as opposed to the rule.

And I'm completely guessing... :-p
