Surprisingly, YES. If anything copyrighted is quoted or linked to by
anyone, artist or commenter (JMH may be careful, but many other are
not) then the whole website could get taken offline, its ISP punished,
and the hard drives taken as evidence for pretty much forever. E621
would be gone, pretty much permanently, within a day of some lawyer
noticing a link or a character quoting song lyrics, or even the use of
any logo or symbol. Anyone with a grudge could kill it dead with a
random comment, one quick email, and a little patience.
Fair use need not apply.
