OK, there are a lot of misconceptions here. First, nobody can figure
out how life came to be without outside help. Every theory has been
proven wrong. We know that all life on this planet is related. It
formed from one event. However, oxygen and sunlight kills simple life
forms. Our earth has both. Just expose something stinky to sunlight.
It will kill what causes the stink! So if life tried to form it had to
be protected from both. That leaves very few places. Evolution doesn't
help either. The Earth formed 4.3 billion years ago. Soon after a blue
green algae just appeared and it quickly covered all of the planets
oceans. Nobody can explain this. Also, evolution didn't start until
600 million years ago! The algae didn't evolve it just appeared!. Then
after evolved life formed it was almost wiped out 3 times and evolution
had to start over each time. The first 3 evolutionary cycles produced
no advanced intelligence. The fourth cycle, the one that were are in
now, produced 2 intelligent life forms, us and cro-magnon man. And our
ancestors killed them off about 12,000 years ago. Nothing makes sense!
As for how big is our universe, know body knows. If our universe in an
enclosed sphere as most astrophysicists think then it can be very
small. Some even think that we live inside a black hole. When Hubble
takes a picture of a far away galaxy it may be seeing light thats been
trapped and has been bouncing around in the sphere for billions of
years. Weird!
Lastly, life needs supplies and a safe, quiet place to have any chance
to form. That we know. The star must be at least a third generation
star or there won't be enough heavy elements. That leaves the outer rim
of the galaxy out. It must be free of most radiation. That leaves the
inner part of the galaxy, small galaxies and most of the galactic arms
out. The planet needs to be in a circular orbit with a stabilizing moon
at the right distance from its star. It must be in a stable single star
system (most star systems are double star systems) where any giant
planets haven't spiraled in and destroyed the inner planets. And this is
just what's needed to give life a chance to appear!
Unfortunately science has concluded that life developing on it's own is
almost impossible and therefore very rare. Intelligent life is almost
inconceivable. We shouldn't exist!
