Vulpine's idea comes across as the simplest and most practical of seat designs

Hi Filter!

That had to be gotten out the way because I've been a lurker for so long.

Aside that, I would think they'd probably just sit on their tail under certain circumstances because it would be easier than gerrymeandengineering strange hardware to accommodate the tail. Tail tucking is would be a learned instinctive reaction from an early age when learning to walk because that first time you fall on your butt, ouch!

Which brings up another one of my pet peeves, diapers on furres. Not that they wouldn't have them, but if they did, kids would learn potty training REAL quick.

Also that idea is simpler.

Knowing my mechanical as well as I do I have to wonder of the medical injuries that may occur if that mechanism fails OR if the occupant is tossed about badly enough to yank their tail against or across that movable post as the damage could be considerable (Amputation or degloving of at least one side). A better design would be to simply curve the post/bar in a manner that would allow the tail to lay there with out being pinched. Couches & chairs could simply have a gap between the seat and the rear that would allow the tail to fall back behind them & that would solve that issue of pinched tails.

I am NOT not crazy,
My reality is just...
different than yours!

There cloths and uniforms have a hole for the tail properly, but how about chairs and seats like the ones in the car? Where do they put their tails? (look at the way your dog sits in the car for example) Makes me wonder… How bout you?

First thing I've drawn in months. VERY rough as a result.
