I wonder what the yearly celebrations will be like for Spring Heat if they have such a holiday seadon. I'm just guessing but animals get particularly horny around Spring even though many species are capable of mating throughout the year. So that might be a special time in the religions of the Skunkworks world if they kept some of their breeding habits from their animal ancestors. It might be like our Valentine's Day but last for a week or so. How long does the Spring breeding season last anyway? It should be very easy to get a date then. :)
As for archaic beliefs holding back progress I whole-heartedly agree. You can't move forward if you have a death-grip on the ways of the past.
