There are some people that like to keep a breed "pure", and there are some that don't really care about it one way or the other. As an example, both Crystal and Tamara (from Caterwaul) are felines, but Crystal is a purebred Persian while Tamara is a tabby mix. Both are felines, but they look quite different. In a way, it's similar to the same situations we have here regarding racial mixing.
