Technology moves on - I'll be very surprised if the future holds conventional fuel vehicles for more than about 100 years (may take 200), but I expect other technologies will take over. The motor car is only a recent invention in history; the 'next big thing' may still be coming. As mentioned; maybe flying cars? Warp drive? Teleporters and portable portals?

Battery technology has been a big issue for decades, but they are working on it!

JMH would have loved the styling of this car, though I'll admit a nice V8 with open pipes does sound inspiring. Though when anyone dreams of flying, I don't think V8 engine noise accompanied - so maybe silent land-based 'flight' is closer to the dream?

Makes you wonder what Caterwaul weapons would be like? Metal bullets surpassed by what? Plastics? Plasma? They may have tooth and claw, but the cover picture of Crystal Vaughan seems to suggest she prefers a pistol. Plenty of links for portable plasma cutters, but nothing more dangerous as yet. ;-)

Scrapper, Black Dragon, anything is possible, probability will vary.
