It is too dangerous to try to predict the future. I ill believe electric cars will become feasible when I see numbers of them out in the streets. As for Big Oil, I doubt that they are responsible for the fact that electric cars are not out there. Sometimes great ideas aren't so great after all. Anyone ever heard of four-channel stereo? Room temperature superconductivity? Nuff said.
