I reckon it depends on your definition of "beat".
If memeory serves, Penance current form (the little bear girl), is phsyically vulnerable but quick to regenerate, to the point of being potentially immortal. Thus permeanent incapacitation seems unlikely, but temporary and perhaps even long lasting such may be possible.
Her original demon form was physically impressive, but i do belive that James made a series of sketches showing the aging process of her species, suggesting she might indeed me mortal at least under some circumstances.
Scrapper probably has the right idea. Magic seems to be the way to go, since its seems very hard to muster enough physical violence upon her to flat out kill her. However, incapacitation may be a more practical alternative.
