I know that in the 90s, some furs at a convention with Jim took a phone call from someone claiming to be Des. And there was that one grainy picture floating around.


But after all this time, I wonder if we can discuss it: was Des ever real? If she was, did simply drift out of Jim's life? Or did they stay in touch? Did anyone bring her in to be part of his final affairs?


By no means, if she is real, do I want to discuss her identity--I'm well aware of how she feels about the furry community being connected to her career and in fact I employ a similar tactic in my personal life.


But I feel like this is one of those questions that just kind of drifted away after years of Jim's teasing.
