Muhahahah. I Liiiiike it.
Tho is you want to get technical, the whole reason humans wouldn't exist in
this timeline is because the anthros had the same mental attributes as
people.
Oh well }=)

Heheh, I vote we send Shad to that universe as a test subject. He's already
volunteered =)

The way I had thought it would've played out was like this:
There are 3 main types of life form at the same time on this
primitive alter-Earth. Regular, non-evolved animals, primitive
humans, and primitive anthros. The humans and anthros hunt the
regular animals for food and what-not. After awhile, they may begin
to compete. The anthros realize that they could hunt the humans for
food, as well as the non-evolved animals. Mankind gets their asses
kicked because they do not have the abilities or adaptations
necessary to win a fight against such creatures.
While there are groups of anthros who try to coexist with the
humans, primitive man has already made up his mind that all evolved
animals are enemies, and should be dealt with permanently. Believing
himself to be the better species, mankind regards anthros and non-
evolved animals as lesser life forms. In an attempt to rebel,
humankind miscalculates its abilities and resources, and goes the way
of the Dodo bird.
Human beings in that reality didn't necessarily develop the same
way as in our reality. That's why it's fantasy. Plus, even if a
human were to suddenly appear in the modern-day anthro reality I've
made, I doubt they would be accepted with open arms. It's more
likely that the anthros would treat them just as humans would treat
an anthro (should one ever appear). The humans would probably be
detained, and examined thoroughly by scientists. This includes
disection, y'know. And if a human were to get uppity, as they are
often prone to do, they would probably be gutted by whichever anthro
they threatened or offended.
Even though the Caterwaul characters are "the good guys", I still
don't think they would risk harboring an unknown alien species (or a
species believed to be extinct). Even if they were to do so, who's
to say that the two species would be able to understand each other?
Sure, the girls might speak English, but is it an English that we can
understand? ;)
True, your version of events is much friendlier and (probably) more
acceptable, but I always try to approach things from a darker
viewpoint. Good discussion, though!
