You're assuming a case where they're obviously in
charge. I'd argue that it would be more like the Hopi
culture - while the Hopi are matriarchal, it's a sort
of "quiet" status that the women hold. They may be in
charge of the families, but they simply don't hold the
sort of power that would result in a revolution.
