Hey Jim. :) Just to let you know the situation, Furry Spring Break was
cancelled by its Chairman, Cutter McCoy/Matt Henry. There's been quite a
bit of fuss over the exact reason as to WHY, but it still stands that it's
cancelled.
However, the crew of FSB and Pawpets (a local internet puppet show) got
together to fill the void left by it, and to appease those who already had
non-refundable plane tickets, time scheduled off of work, etc. It's called
the Pawpets Megaplex. ;)
It's March 8-10th on International Drive at the Ramada Resort Orlando hotel.
There's one snag -- because they're throwing this together at the last
minute, it looks like they'll have an "Artist's Alley" where dealers and
artists are welcome to sit, draw, sell stuff... but no real dealer's room
due to the logistics of it.
There's also one other slight problem... according to their Convention
Conduct Policy: "The exhibition of works that depict nudity (refer to the
dress code above), sexual activity, excessive violence or gore, excessive
profanity, drug abuse, or other disturbing subject matter will not be
permitted. Applying labels or other coverings to a finished work in order to
conceal its objectionable portions is NOT acceptable."
In otherwords, you'd probably be coming to Megaplex as a con-goer rather
than an actual dealer. :/ This definitely bums me out, because I really
wanted you to be there so I could introduce you to Cotton, the bunnygal I'd
asked a commission of back at MFM, and you've been to busy to get to. :)
Alright, I'll shush now. Others have to read this too. *L* But if anyone
has any other questions about Megaplex, the website's at
