Depending on when Cutter told his story, sure. First he said it was due to
a lack of interest in the convention. Then he blamed it on no one wanting
to co-sign the convention contract (which he blamed on local "politics", but
frankly, it was just a horrible contract that no one wanted to sign). Next
he blamed it on Doc Sam Conway of Anthrocon, and my ex Brenda aka Toraneko
for supposedly spreading libel against him. Then the story was he didn't
know how he would get the convention ready in time, so he and a few people
said okay, let's go ahead and cancel it for 2002 and hope 2003 turns out
better. -- And of course those people betraid him and turned around to
create MegaPlex.
Fact is, no one knows the full complete story. But to blame it on "fan
politics", which seems to be the Furry Catchword of the 21st Century, really
isn't necessary is it?
