Similar introduction for me.
Browsing the Internet for pr0n when I was younger than I should have led me to my first furry pics (though I can't remember who drew them). Despite the obvious arousal factor, I had to admit that it was pretty interesting, and I was sucked into the fandom right then and there.
Of course, now I can't play my werewolf druid on Diablo II without being aroused, but it's a small price to pay. ;)
