  Hmmm... well, I know I greatly admired John Byrne's art during
the "Dark Phoenix Saga", as well as Bret Blevin's take on the "New
Mutants". Bill Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes) was also a very big
influence, and some of the art techniques he employed were used by
myself (or at least painstakingly imitated) when I was drawing "By
the Tail" comics, back in 1990 or something.
