ConFurence is run by over 60 staff members, and dozens of volunteers,
most of which have been in furry fandom for MANY years. Try to tell
the hundreds of people who had a great time that the con is dead, and
they will laugh in your face.
...and I have it on good authority that the Con Chair (that's me) is
*NOT* a burned fur, and has refused to associate with the group for
about two years now; but so be it for accuracy online.
Back on topic, though, The Jim Hardiman Charity Auction at ConFurence
2002 raised somewhere around $800 to $1200 (the artshow data is still
being tallied) and the Kitty being passed around (dubbed "Cap'n Jim's
Treasure" by Doodles) received over $850 in cash donations.
I'll be sending Jim a check for the total amount just as soon as the
artshow data is added up.
