If it's any comfort, that sort of thing will happen to much larger
publishers, too. I've once gotten a comic that was missing the entire
middle four pages, and another time, i got a mass market paperback that
went about halfway through just fine, and then STARTED OVER from page
one! It happens when the machinery is going full tilt, and something
hiccups. it's rarely more than a few copies that get messed up. some
poor bastard out there probably has a book with the matching end of my
book as well as his. if he's smart, he'll return it, and the shop will
replace it. It's what i did, on both occasions.
