Okee... So -CREATING- the groups broke copyrights? How? You -CANNOT-
CANNOT and I repeat ONCE MORE for all the people who don't pay attention,
_-CAN NOT-_ copyright a character (Like Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Lola
Bunny, Etc). You can -TRADEMARK- them, for specific merchandise, but you
cannot copyright them. If you disagree with this, I challenge you to find,
in the text of the actual copyright law, what states you can copyright a
character, which is specifically a concept, and images thereof being the
results of the description of this concept.
So, the only way that the user would have been "violating copyright" would
be if he posted art that was MADE by Warner (Screen Captures, etc), or
possibly violating copyrights of other artists.
Of course, as a side note, please bear in mind that with Yahoo, we get what
we pay for, and we are not actually the customers... We are the
PRODUCT. We are the eyes that are sold to the advertisers. And just like
a Doritos factory, where all the green or black chips are removed, if we
are not "Good Product", we will be snatched from the belt full of chips and
tossed into the salty trash can.
So... I bet none of you knew that we were Doritos. :)
