Hey all-
Just stopping in for a quick visit to let any interested folks
know that the new By The Tail site is nearing completion. At Des's
request, a few new sections have been added to the Archives section,
including: Updates/News. Old Comics, Art by Des, Art by Jim, Fan
Art, Text Stories, Prints & Artwork (for sale), and a section which
will really put my Flash skills to the test called "Melody's
Webcam". The last section will be the last to go up, since it is
the most labor-intensive, but preliminary pencil tests should start
up after this weekend (Des is coming over to lend a hand to help get
it all done). The webcam feature will allow you, the viewer, to
select whichever of Melody's girls you fancy (including 2 new ones,
as well as the part-timers), and then select what you want them to
do. I'll leave the details up to your sick imaginations.
The webcam thing was something we had been talking about for
awhile, and I had to mess around with some stuff to see if I could
pull it off like we wanted to. The functions will work without any
problem; the main wait now is the artwork, which Des and I will both
be doing (I'll draw 'em, she'll ink 'em). No idea on when that
particular feature will be available on the site, but we're really
gonna try to get it ready before the new year. Neither of us have
undertaken a project this big before, so it should definitely be a
learning experience! The rest of the site, however, will be up
within a couple of weeks, including new artwork and comics.
Sorry to post and run (and I know I have several posts to
address), but I've got to get a few other things accomplished before
going to bed, and it's already after 2am here. Talk to you all
tomorrow or the day after! Sorry for the boring post. I'll upload
some art when I get online next.

Jimbo, I'd like to make a suggestion in regarding to the Flash you plan to
use. Have you considered getting some aid or advice from Ian Soulfox? He's
done some excellent works & I believe he would probably be the best choice for
any help in regard to Flash work. You should see about getting his help.
Just a thought.
