Yeah I was looking of one of Des's pics to make sure I got the markings and
such right, as for Sandra I never really asked how tall she was, I had just
spoken to her about her metal form. I drew in this order Sandra/Onyx/then Natasha
so I knew onyx was off, her are was the way I wanted it (kind up and behind
her where you wouldn't see her upper arm) but I didn't get the angle right I
guess. This was a pencil sketch so any tips are taken eagerly, I have never done
much ink work.

<<<Very hard to get reflections to work properly. I can see
you've used your muzzle style in the reflection as opposed
to Des' muzzle style on Onyx. Looking at Sandra's chest
(as we all are want to do...), her right nipple is a little
too far to the side, for if you match mirroring locations
from her left breast, you'll see what I mean.>>>

Well, unfortunately Sandra isn't flat like a real mirror so I was trying to
draw onyx distorted by the curves, (but I did draw the wrong side of onyx's
face to be reflected) and I see what you mean about the nipple.

<<<Need to exercise the eraser and remove the mark from the
spike on her left shoulder (what are these anyway?) near
the base. When you draw clothing, such as her collar,
remember to add a little thickness, since the material is
not tinplate thin (well, not generally anyway...)>>>

yeah the scanner picked um a bit better then i thought, i did try to do some
touch up on it once i had it scanned, i left Sandra's skin un touched up cause
it made her look a little more like metal colored as opposed to the white
background. Sandra explained the spikes as her metal form has the ability to
"add-on" additional metal objects the spikes were a gift from a friend that she
just wears on her shoulders {be thankful i didn't draw the "other" attachment
she told me about >.< }

<<< Ears look nice, though lighter lines when defining hair
will make it look less 'solid'. Eyes came out well, though
would consider revising a few lines on her muzzle as it
appears a little off-centre and unbalanced in regard to her
nose location. Fractions of an inche can make quite a
perception difference (as I unfortunately well know).>>>

noted, i had a hard time trying to think of how to make her face "metallic"
cause she told me even her teeth/tongue/eyes etc. are all metal... plus how the
hell are you suppose to draw metalic hair and furr lol, she also told me that
she keeps her um... well her fur in a certain area shaved in the shape of a
heart... you try to figure out how to draw that on a metallic kitty lol,

<<<In regard to pic size, I recommend making sure files always
fit within a 1024x768 window and 72dpi (screen res) to keep
things space conscious. I tried this on your file and
shaved it from 270k to 72k. Quite a saving! I recommend
Irfanview (pronounced Er-Fan-View) as it is a very
functional FREEWARE viewer that is able to scan, crop,
resize, resample, convert, colour correct and most other
nifty features needed for scanning in and general viewing
and printing. Its installed size is about 10Mb and is very
fast to load. Yes, there are other programs out there
(ACDSee for example), but many are not as small and are
frequently not freeware. You can download from
 www.irfanview.com.>>>

well i scanned it using a Lexmark x75, then "cleaned" it up on PSP 6, my

computer however has been running on empty for awhile now so i don't dare dl
anything for fear running out of room.... which has happened {currently i have
426mb left on my comp, and that's after deleting stuff and running clean up) i
did shrink the pic down to about 1/4 its size and it's only about 41kb, i will
replace the 270 soon.

caught up with RL delaying the replies! >>>

over all i was happy with the drawing just for the fact that i actually did
it, i have no real drawing style of my own, as can be seen in that pic, I drew
it all free hand, referencing a little of jay nalor's style for Sandra, and
referencing Des for Onyx's face {her body draw without looking off anything} and
i used Des as a full form reference for Natasha (the differences are obvious
even to me "for those that recognize the pose for Natasha, its the pic where
Des is trying to "blend in" as a skunk"}. but that's my skill unfortunately, I
can look at someone else's work and "copy" it, but find it hard to draw from
my own head. "Sandra" is happy with the pic but I think that's mostly cause
it's fan art of her (and the skunks) lol. She's even asked me to do a commission
pic from that last line "Cool... So um ... like what kind of batteries do you
take" the pic she wants is her and her master showing just where the
batteries go.... lol she left the size of the battery up to my discretion, (bad move
on her part cause first thing that pops in my mind is "car battery")

i know jim and des are busy but i would love the hear their reviews of this
as well.
