Threat or menace? Actually neither.

Whatever form, genre, or style of art you find yourself drawn to the "good
stuff" will still be around in general consumption, and the "bad stuff" will
either be forgotten, or be relegated to the fringes to only reappear in
esoteric college courses or in cyclic consumption models. So if a bunch of artists
whine about not "be recognized" because they follow an assembly line format
for drawing, just grin and walk on. I'm not an artist, but I see two things
that make any movie, series or character stand out: Story and character
development. Jim's work is an example of that. We know about the character,
have an idea of their histories and interactions and even minor character have a
sense of being outside of the stories we see. Are they for everyone, no.
But they do resonate with a fan-base. So this discussion, INHO, is answered
above. I now await additional artwork from SAMA to see what the characters
are doing now.
