Wow. I'm feeling really bitchy today. Just saw some stumpfuck on a
chan board asking for the whole Mousetrap folio, for free and
unwatermarked. What the Jesus Fuck? You sayin' you ain't got 25
fucking dollars to spend on porn cuz yer sorry ass refuses to get a
job, but you can go out and buy the latest video game? Fuck! I think
it's about time this fandom got a heavy-duty enema, cuz there seems
to be a lotta shit it in now. Most of the people I've met here and in
a few other groups are cool, but these dickturds on those chan boards
are seriously pissing me off.
I'm gonna go run over some old lady with my car now. But I'll be back...
I drop by (it's between E and G)chan every once in a while to scope out new
artists and I can honestly say that there are a shocking amount of people out
there who don't give a wheat penny about artists feelings and go out of there
way to post art that they know they aren't suppose to.
I know that it will stir debate, but I have to agree with Des that the
fandom could indeed use a good flushing.
If Furry is ever going to be considered as a viable lifestyle/culture/etc
and not just a band of porn fanatics and emotionally defunct internet children,
then we have to become proactive about distancing ourselves from those who
misrepresent the fandom.
Now I don't mean a kind of 'Burned Fur' style revolution or Furry-witch
hunt, but just a sense of "This is what we are, this is what we are not." and
sticking to it.
Fortunatly I think people like Dr. Samuel "Uncle Kage" Conway are doing an
excellent job at this, but the majority of the work falls to us everyday furs
in our everyday lives.
Much the same way that the GLBT community is gaining a grassroots acceptance
through a steady policy of "We're not freaks, we're just people who like __"
I think that the fur fandom needs to start doing the same.
(I hope I don't regret saying this)
